天下有道,却走马以粪。天下无道,戎马生于郊。祸莫大于不知足,咎莫大于欲得。故知足之足,常足矣。
Desire tells you that what you have is not enough. But contentment is not about having everything — it is about wanting what you already have. That is freedom.
天下有道却走马以粪——太平时战马用来耕田。
天下无道戎马生于郊——乱世时战马在郊野生驹。
祸莫大于不知足——最大的祸患是不知足。
咎莫大于欲得——最大的过错是贪得。
知足之足常足矣——知足的富足才是永远的富足。
