出生入死
“Coming into life, entering death. Three in ten are companions of life. Three in ten are companions of death. And three in ten value life but move toward death.”
出生入死。生之徒十有三，死之徒十有三，人之生动之死地亦十有三。夫何故？以其生生之厚。盖闻善摄生者，路行不遇兕虎，入军不被甲兵。兕无所投其角，虎无所措其爪，兵无所容其刃。夫何故？以其无死地。
Most people live as if they have forever. You do not. Let this awareness wake you up — not to fear, but to appreciate. This day is a gift. Do not waste it on what does not matter.
出生入死——出母胎为生，入地府为死。
生之徒十有三——长寿的人占十分之三。
死之徒十有三——短命的人占十分之三。
人之生动之死地亦十有三——本来可以长寿却走向死亡的也占十分之三。
生生之厚——过分追求养生。
善摄生者——善于养护生命的人——不进入危险境地，所以没有死亡的危险。
