以正治国，以奇用兵，以无事取天下。吾何以知其然哉？以此：天下多忌讳，而民弥贫；民多利器，国家滋昏；人多伎巧，奇物滋起；法令滋彰，盗贼多有。故圣人云：我无为而民自化，我好静而民自正，我无事而民自富，我无欲而民自朴。
Stop micromanaging your life. The more rules you set, the more you rebel against them. Trust yourself. Give yourself freedom, and you will naturally find your way.
以正治国以奇用兵以无事取天下——正面治国，奇兵作战，无为取天下。
天下多忌讳而民弥贫——禁忌越多人民越贫困。
法令滋彰盗贼多有——法令越繁复盗贼越多。
我无为而民自化——我不妄为百姓自然归化。
我好静而民自正——我保持清静百姓自然端正。
我无欲而民自朴——我没有贪欲百姓自然淳朴。
